Abstract

Everyone knows that to live well it is necessary for the individual to enjoy a satisfactory quality of life, however there are many factors capable of causing this quality to decline. And in this study, we will list breast cancer, which is an extremely complicated obstacle when it comes to a satisfactory quality of life. The objective of this study is to understand how breast cancer influences patients' quality of life and whether there are paths to be followed that can provide a satisfactory quality of life during this difficult time.  it is a literature review study, using the LILACS, BDENF and Scielo databases with articles published in english, portuguese and spanish. This review showed that the concept of quality of life has been little explained in studies, leading us to believe that the concept is already something that everyone knows completely; however, as this is a very broad concept, it must be considered with a more sensitive perspective, thus facilitating full understanding and enabling more adequate assistance, and, consequently, an improvement in the quality of life of these patients.
