Burnout Syndrome: a case study on stress at work in an electricity supply company in the city of Milagres (CE)

In the greatness of technological and social development, the well-being and emotional integrity of people have been left aside. There is no concern with mental health, especially that of employees inserted in a business context. Thus, this article aims to understand how the Burnout Syndrome affects the psychosocial relationships of the employees of an electric power supply company in the city of Milagres-CE. The research is qualitative in nature, bibliographically based and framed as a case study. The subject of the research was an electric power supply company located in the aforementioned city. It was chosen by convenience and accessibility. The instrument for data collection was a non-participant systematic observation and an interview, with the application of a structured script, containing 10 open questions, which were answered by the company's manager. At the end, the data was analyzed to measure the results obtained. As a result, there was a need for corrective measures regarding conflicts with the hierarchy, the lack of psychological support and the exhaustive work hours. Even though the organization studied presents excellent physical spaces to perform the work and offers social benefits to the collaborator.
